1990 Michael Jordan Action Packed Promo Basketball Card PSA 9

These seldom seen promo issues from the now defunct Action Packed / Hi-Pro Marketing company are still a hit. Novel in the approach to card manufacturing, this three-dimensional design raise the action from the surface for collectors. The promo cards produced by Action Packed included only the top athletes in their respective sports, Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, Steve Yzerman, and Sugar Ray Leonard. 

Action Packed was aggressively marketing its fold-over-and-embossed card design during the late 1980's, and it's speculated that these pieces were put together to make a serious presentation to the NBA licensing people. They weren't intended to be sold, and very few of the cards made their way into the hobby. 

The auction item being offered here is the 1990 Michael Jordan Action Packed Promo Basketball Card graded MINT 9 by PSA.  As of April 1, 2020 Only 42 of these cards exist in the PSA Population Report with only 99 of these cards being graded overall.  A very rare card!
